Comic Collage is a course for teenagers who want to further their knowledge of art and comics. It is a community based in Colorado Springs where we teach your teens to collaborate and make friends with their peers.
wHAT WE TEACH
Art Fundamentals
Shape, Line, and Value are the fundamentals of Art. Once you master those you can draw anything. Our goal at Comic Collage is instill the fundamentals before we move on to more complex subjects.
Art collaboration
When it comes to huge art projects like comics it is essential to have help! Our goal here is to teach your offspring to work with others. Not only in the art world is this important but, it also stands true in every walk of life!
comics / Story Telling
The story line in a comic is often more important than the art! Each panel and page has to be meticulously to convey the story in a way that is easy for the reader to understand. Teaching how to efficiently tell the story through art is also a milestone we plan to reach!
What we do here
Comic Collage Synopsis
Putting all these things together will bring us a stunning end result! By the end of this 12 Week course we will have made a full fledged comic. Each of us participating and making our own part! At the finish line each of the student swill have made their own page of the comic. At the end we will print our the results and post them online for everyone to share and see!

12 weeks of a meticulous lesson plan built to help people succeed!
When planning out this course I imagined what I would've wanted out of an art class as a child. I want to give teens what they actually want, A class that is serious about art and growing to be a better artist. This course will be fun and inclusive. The goal is to have you look back on this class and be shocked by how impressive your art is/or has gotten.
